Joyful singers host aid concert for tanzania

Tagged as the one of the best in the region and in the whole of Italy, The Carrara Gospel Festival organized by the Joyful Singers in collaborations with the Bhalobasa Onlus proved to have held on to their style and name being a group which that seeks no financial gain for itself. Indeed, this year's festival which was held in memory of Titiana and to raise funds to build a free boat so villagers living in some of the remotest parts of Tanzania could have free transportation to the nearby hospital and to their schools, was graced by the high attendance of givers and Gospel music fans. Titiana who died early this year, also happens to be brain behind the boat project.

Expressing her excitement about the event, Ms. Simona Palaghi, Artistic Director and President of the Joyful Singers, which is an Italian Gospel choir, said after months of so much hard work she was glad that they were able to sell out all the tickets, promising that every penny taken in that night will be faithfully given to the Bhalobasa Onlus, which is made up of a group of Italian Volunteering Aid workers who work in the regions of some of the famished places in the world. She also thanked them for the free hall and for the free printing of the posters.

The concert which was held at one of the most gorgeous theatres at the Carrara Fiere was attended by people of all walks of life and none moved out of their seat till the close which was about 1.00pm in the night. The joyful atmosphere at the crowded theatre would remain in the minds of spectator for quite a long time.

This year's concert also, saw a blend of diverse musical varieties ranging from Contemporary Gospel performances by the Joyful Singers, the message and music energetic ministration by Rev.Dayana Adu Biney, Sacred music by the Cantores and a delightful exhibition of music and poetry by the Kinnara Group who sung out some of Italy's famous Fabrizio De'Andre's religious notes.

Rev.Dayana Adu who is also the spiritual mentor for the group, said: "what happened tonight is an indication that, the Gospel Music Festival has honored its mandate - ministering to the poor in spirit and the poor in the flesh”. “This is what Gospel concert should be about and thank God we stayed long away from just being a performing group. I, therefore believe that this festival which has been held for the past ten years will return with a higher level of anointing, however because of the growing crowd, its location may have to be revisited".

The occasion was also attended by family members, and friends of the deceased who thanked all for their support.

Ms. Simona Palaghi also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who came out to support the Gospel Concert and humbly thanked them for their prayers. The concert was held entirely by the Joyful Singers in partnership with the Bhalobasa Onlus.
