Mary As Theotokos: The Woman As Gateway to The Salvation of Humanity

Mary As Theotókos (in Greek Θεοτόκος, Theotókos; in latin Deipara or Dei genetrix): THE WOMAN AS GATEWAY TO LIFE

Galatians 4:4

But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law,

1 Timothy 3:16

By common confession, great is the mystery of godliness:
He who was revealed in the flesh,
Was vindicated in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Proclaimed among the nations,
Believed on in the world,
Taken up in glory.

The whole of Christian Faith is founded upon this mystery: that God became human so as to save humans. But how did God become human? He took the form of humans (Ps 46; Phi 2:5-8l, Heb. 2:10-14). What is the legal process involved in generating human? As man is joined to his wife so God was joined wopith a woma. The physical joining of humans is through physical sex, the joining of God and humans is called worship ( joined to the Lord) you may call it spiritual inimacy because it is illegal for spirit being to copulate with humans, see Gen 6; Jude 1. Though her intimacy (worship) with God, Spirit of the Most High was breathed upon Mary (Luke 1) and the Spirit which is the seed (sperm) of God (1John 3:9) took resident in A WOMAN’S Womb. God did not #rape Mary but demanded her Consent to BECOME THE GATEWAY FOR HIS ENTRACE HERE ON EARTH. GOD is not coerce but invited Mary to partner with him with concerns to his salvific project for humanity. GOD’S LEGALLY ENTERED PLANET EARTH TO SAVE US BECAUSE OF ONE WOMAN’S OBEDIENCE. You have heard it said that through ONE MAN’S DISOBEDIENCE #SIN CAME THROUGH THE WORLD NOT ONLY TO CORRUPT ALL HUMANITY BUT ALSO THAT THROUGH THIS ONE MAN(ADAM’S) SIN ALL HUMAN LIE UNDER THE SENTENCE OF DEATH, BUT NOW IT IS WRITTEN THAT THROUGH ONE WOMAN’S OBEDIENCE #LIFE NOT DEATH, #SALVATION NOT CONDEMNATION IS AVAILABLE TO ALL  SHO WILL BELIEVE. This is the mystery of the #Theotókos (in Greek,Θεοτόκος, Theotókos; in latin Deipara or Dei genetrix) è un title given to the Virgin Mary by the council of Ephesus (...), literally mean,  "The God -bearer” or “she who carries God” or “She who has borne God”Dio" and usually expressed as Mother of God. Annunciation Image and Afrocentric-Theological concept:

Nigerian artist Paul Woelfel’s watercolor painting of the Angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary reflects his African ancestry. Mary and Gabriel are of African descent, and Mary sits on an African-style chair. There are several other interesting things to notice about the painting:

Gabriel has removed his shoes. This reminds us of Moses, who removed his shoes in the presence of the burning bush as a sign of respect and honor to God. By taking off his shoes, Gabriel shows us that Mary is holy, worthy of honor and praise.

Look at the way God’s message is painted. First of all, it comes in the form of a letter, a letter so holy that Gabriel does not even touch it. Secondly, the message is accompanied by the Holy Spirit, depicted as a dove. Clearly the message is not of human origin, but comes from God.

Notice the differences in the ground around Gabriel and Mary. Underneath Gabriel is barren, burned desert. Underneath Mary are grass and flowers, signs of new life. The child Mary will bear will bring new life to the world.

Pay attention to Mary’s hands. Her right hand points to herself in such a way that we can almost hear her saying: “Who me? You’ve chosen me?” At the same time Mary lifts up her left hand signifying her willingness to answer God’s call.
