The just concluded Elect Lady Awards Brescia 2014, held on the 27th of September, at Hotel Industria, kicked off the roll-call of events for the sacred civil new year Rosh Hashanah, and it must be said that the day saw great feats which included beauty, great performances, memorable back-in-the-acts by gospel choirs present, lovely discourses and straight talks by distinct women of all classes present to receive the prestigious title of an "Elect Lady". 

 

The tight conference hall could not contain the hundreds of saints, loved ones and community members who had flocked the conference hall to cheer their loved ones. 

 

The ceremony begun with a brief introduction of the Ambassador to dignitaries present, and a presentation of flower by Nelhilary Owusu Nyarko afterwhich, a procession led by Herald Amen Ibizu  ushered in members of the Clergy (Officiating Ministers), and the Diplomatic corps.

 

Among those upon whom the honour was conferrd on include the 3 matrons of the event, who were also the special guest of honours for the ceremony.

 

The ELA (ambassadorial category) was conferred upon The Ghana Ambassador to Rome, H.E.Evelyn Anita Stokes-Hayford;  H.H Bishop Diana Adjartey and The Counsellor for Equal Opportunities for the Province of Brescia, Dott.ssa Anna Maria Gandolfi.

 

Upon Ms Freda Cooper was conferred the honour of Miss Elect Lady, Brescia 2014 and 33 other distinguished ladies matched boldly forward for their honour. These women did not just come to receive an award but made impact to other women present with their words and acolades.

The audience (most of whom stood on their feet all evening long), got stuck till the end. But all left smiling with their various awards, ranging from Favourite Female Minster; Favourte Pastor's wife; Favourite Socio-cultural Operator; Favourite Humanitarian/Volutary Worker; and FavouritEntreprenuer.

 

The event according to Apostle Diana Adu Biney, Visionnaire and Organizer, brings home a message to those who have been sown goodness in one way or another to not be weary of it, "for in due season, they shall be honoured."
